ICROFS – International Centre for Research in Organic Food Systems

ICROFS was launched in 2008 by the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries as a continuation of DARCOF (Danish Research Centre in Organic Farming since 1995). ICROFS initiates, coordinates, and participates in national and international research activities within organic farming and food systems. The vision of ICROFS is that based on research and good management the principles of organic farming become a global reference for sustainability in food systems.

ICROFS hosts and administrates Organic Eprints (www.orgprints.org), the Open Source archive for publications and materials in organic research. Here, researchers can deposit and share information with colleagues, students and stakeholders worldwide. Organic Eprints additionally serves as a platform for the submission of congress papers and it is closely linked to the Organic Farm Knowledge platform.
