The video offers a comparison of the different methods that can be used for weed control in organic sugar beet production. Positive and negative aspects of the use of the respective machines are discussed. The conventional hoe and harrow does a very good job. The InRow Weeder from Garford performs well and the IC-Weeder from Steketee works satisfyingly.
Description
Milo Stoecklin from the Fondation Rurale Interjurassienne presents Steketee's IC-Weeder and Garford's Robocrop Inrow Weeder. Both machines are designed for vegetable production and recognise the crop by its shape and colour. These machines were compared with the usual weed control with harrow and hoe.
