Cereals

Ve srovnání s ostatními plodinami, jakými jsou řepka olejná, brambory nebo cukrová řepa, je pěstování obilnin v ekologickém zemědělství obecně snazší. Proto u mnoha ekologických osevních postupů činí podíl obilnin v rotaci až 50 %. S ohledem na čerpání živin je však vyšší podíl obilnin přípustný pouze v případě pěstování méně náročných druhů, jako je oves. Úspěšné pěstování jednotlivých obilnin v ekologickém osevním postupu je do značné míry závislé na předplodině a zásobě živin v půdě. Správné řazení obilnin v ekologickém osevním postupu může redukovat výskyt škůdců a chorob a ovlivňuje výnos následující plodiny.
